What is Elijah House About?
"See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers..."

Elijah house is a group of people who while belonging to churches of various denominations, are working together in an attempt to help the Church accomplish the ‘Elijah Task’
The inspiration for the Elijah Task comes from Malachi 4v5-6. ‘Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse.’
The one goal of Elijah House is to unite people with Jesus in the transforming power of His death and resurrection. We seek to spread the word of restoration and reconciliation through writing, teaching and prayer ministry.
Elijah House has centres throughout Europe, N. America and Australasia, and has contributed to Christian unity by touching a broad spectrum of the Church.
1. Following several visits by John and Paula Sandford to New Zealand, the first 3 week Basic School was held in Auckland in 1996. Elijah House NZ – authorised in 1997 by Elijah House Inc (USA) – is now a Charitable trust with a developing ministry throughout the nation.
2. The first Basic School in New Zealand was held in 1996. Following this a committee came together and was authorised to form Elijah House New Zealand in November 1997.
